About Fiona Hawthorne

Fiona Hawthorne was born in Northern Ireland, grew up in Hong Kong, and lives and works between London and New York. BA Chelsea School of Art. First artist in residence to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with solo exhibition at Royal Festival Hall. Portrait of Barack Obama in Library of Congress. Featured in Thames and Hudson’s  “Design After Dark, London’s 80s Dancefloor style. “Two new publications 2021 for Blacksmith Books on Hawthornes drawings and paintings in the notorious “Walled City of Kowloon” in Hong Kong – one nominated for Golden Dragon award. Two current public art installations in London: “150 years of the Market”, on Portobello Road and “Project ramp”, at 300 Ladbroke Grove.
